Why am I going on world race? Honestly, that’s a great question.
Ever since I was a little kid, I was always wanting to find the next big thing and trying the newest thing. It was always “what’s next mommy?” My family can tell you with great confidence that I am definitely out of the house more than I’m in it. I love it that way. Being able to explore with my family and friends has always been a blessing. I’ve always been encouraged to do something new and to try it to see if I like it. The World Race is an awesome opportunity to try that “new thing”.
I love meeting new people and learning about what is going on in their lives. I have worked for Bluegrass Christian Camp in Kentucky for a couple years and it has impacted my life. The work that God has done there is amazing. One of the biggest things for staffers at camp is to “Spend time with kids”. I feel like World Race is going to give me that opportunity on a bigger scale and with an amazing group. I will enjoy interacting with new families and children in the communities that we are going to serve. I love being a part of showing people how much God truly loves them!
Finally, I want to go on this life changing trip is because I have heard the stories about what God has done in people’s lives. I’m encouraged by reading old blog posts and seeing how God has totally changed racers perspectives. I’m always trying to do something new, fun, and exciting. That’s what makes me want to jump out of bed and see what God is doing that day. I hope that by taking this leap of faith into the unknown, my relationship with God will grow stronger and I can start seeing how he is working in the world around me.
In all of my posts, I want to connect with everyone that is supporting me. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate your support! If God is encouraging you to follow along with me, that’s great! I hope that you will enjoy the adventure as much as I do. If you want to connect with me and understand more about what I am doing, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Thank you so much!!
